iOS 8.4.1 Problems: Angers users
iOS 8 has been the most controversial iOS firmware till date. iOS 8.3 was jailbroken and so was iOS 8.4. Then came the iOS 8.4.1 and it patched the jailbreak exploits used in the PP 8.4 and TaiG jailbreak tools, thus becoming unjailbreakable. A lot of bugs and security issues were fixed, but it looks like instead of fixing the bugs, Apple has introduced more bugs into the firmware.

iOS 8.4.1 has come with a l0t of fixes for Apple Music. However, it has failed to solve the problems and, in fact, has introduced some new bugs. Many frustrated users have already labelled it as a desperate attempt by Apple to stop all the jailbreaks before iOS 9 comes out.
Common Bugs Experience in iOS 8.4.1 :
A lot of complaints have been registered on a lot of forums and blogs. Here are some common problems reported by the users
- Some users have reported that a bug is draining out their fully charged iPhones battery in just an hour.
- iTunes Bluetooth Syncing has reportedly broken.
- The WiFi has become intermittent and reboots do not solve the problem for most of the users.
- When accessing SMS and making calls, the device freezes.
- A few iPad 2 users have reported slowdown bugs, causing late response from screen rotation and wake screen.
- The Make Available Offline bug is still there in Apple Music and hasn’t been fixed yet along with the missing and duplicate album artwork.
- The infamous WiFried bug has also not been fixed right from the time when iOS 8 was released in September 2014. The issue has been acknowledged by Apple since iOS 8.3, but a full fix will not be coming until the release of iOS 9.
- Also, the Home Sharing implementation bug seen in iOS 8.4 will also be fixed only after the iOS 9 release.
Why Did you Introduce iOS 8.4.1 Apple ?
iOS 8.4.1 has been one of the smallest Apple updates given to iOS 8. iOS 8.4.1 was just 55 MB in size and did not target any long-running issues seen in iOS 8.
Also, the arrival of iOS 8.4.1 has been a shocker, as iOS 8.4 was supposed to be the last iOS 8 update before the September 9 release of iOS 9. iOS 8.4.1 is definitely going to have the shortest life any iOS firmware has had in the history of iOS.
iOS 8.4.1 was supposed to fix a lot of problems and issues which frustrated the users for a long time. However, it gave the users some more problems instead and ignored the previous ones. It might not be incorrect to say that this is a perfect way to say goodbye to iOS 8 !
